Assistance Needed!

OK people: faithful readers and the occasional peruser, we need your help!

We need a farm name. This is no longer something we can toy with and bat around like we have been doing all winter. We are on a deadline, a little less than a month to be exact. Here's why: The two goats that we have are pregnant, the first one is due in just about a month from now. When you register a goat with the American Dairy Goat Association, the first part of their name is your farm name, and then their given name. Hence we can't register the babies until we have a farm name and they are supposed to be registered within a few weeks of their birth....

Andrew and I have a couple of ideas (which I will throw out there at a later date for feedback, but I don't want to influence the creative juices that I know are out there). So comment away.

P.S. We want the name to be something that we can use for all our farm purposes, not just with the goats, so try to steer clear of things like "Goat Acres" etc. That's the only guidelines I'll give tho.

cool ! a contest !!!

honestly, i thought the first name contest would be for a human kid (not a goat :P) ... but this works too :)

my suggestions are:

The Farm
K&A Ranch
Lightning Farm
Blooming Meadows

it's kinda hard to come up with a name for a place i've never seen, but oh well, i gave it a shot .... ok, thinking about farms, i'm thinking about cows & chickens, which makes me hungry and reminds me that we haven't had supper yet.

regardless of whatever you guys choose, i'd be willing to help come up with a logo if you like. just let me know !

Chez K&A <- pronounced "Shake'n A"

"Little house on the prairie" <-- super cheezy (goat cheese of course)

"mom and pop's" (I don't really know why, but why not?)

"Moooters" (you need cows with big udders and some chicks for that name to work)

"H-Udders" (ok, this one sucks but at least I tried)

Tin Fish Farm(s)

4 Tin Fish Farm(s)

4Sn Fish Farm(s)
[Sn is symbol for tin]

AK(A) Ranch

O.S.W.H.T.M.A. Farm
(Oh Shit We Have Too Many Animals!)

F.F.FARM

Double F Ranch

Duex F Farm
(i have a design for the two F's together, look up Fendi on Google and use that symbol.)

I think the coolest would just be the symbol followed by the word FARM or Ranch or whatever you fancy.

Here's a couple:

L'Anac View Farm (it's canal backwards)

Windy Ridge Farm (even though it's not usually windy)

Comme Ci Farm (play on words "come see")

I'd like something with the Brook, but I can't come up with anything but Birch Brook and I don't really like that.

Fox's Den Farm

David suggests: ABC Farm (animals before children!)

I bet you did not realize I read this?! I do, I enjoy your musings and pictures very much. Here are a few of my thoughts on a name:
410Fish Farm
4-10Fish Farm
Nouveau Vie Farm (new life farm for those less inclined) I love the way this sounds!
4 Saison Farm
Triple F (Fortin Fish Farm) would make an easy brand, have the 3 and the F combined and share the same back - 3F.
Rocking Triple F. Same as above with a Rocker underneath.
Dal Vue Farm (Dal is Valley in Dutch, vue is View in French)
Senke Vue Farm (Senke is Valley in German)
Tier Vue Farm (Tier is animal in German)
And maybe my favorite for how its sounds:
Opwellen Nouveau Vie Farm
(Opwellen is Dutch for Spring Forth)so Spring Forth New Life Farm!
That is it for now, maybe more later. rf

Little Bit Farm (we have a little bit of everything)
Mosiquito Point/Ridge/springs (there are a lot of mosquito's in the summer and there is actually a place just down the road from us called Mosquito Point)
Just a Dream
20 Acre Hill (we have 20 acres and most of it is on a sloping hill)
Vanishing Pond (there used to be a pond on the property according to 100 year old maps, no pond in sight now tho)
Wildly Edible
Hillbrook

Those are some of our ideas that we were tossing around tonight.

I like Little Bit Farm and some variation on the Mosquito Point name.

Mosquito Hawk Farm/Hill
(it's a dragonfly, I was reading a journal of some guy that traveled the river and that's what he called them)

No Moose Farm (cause we've got everything BUT moose)

Bluebird Ridge (we've got LOTS of bluebirds this spring)

Red Tail Ridge

Feather Brook
