Cold Frame

Andrew and his Dad built me a cold frame over Christmas. I planted lettuce, spinach, basil & radishes in it the first week of the new year. Unfortunately, we then had an Arctic Blast the week after a few little lettuces were trying to poke through and I didn't put a heat source in it to keep them alive. So any seeds that had germinated are now dead. I'm hoping that there were a few that hadn't yet and will pick back up when it gets warmer next week. If not I'll replant.

A cold frame is essentially a mini-greenhouse. Here's a picture of mine.
