Icy January

We had a couple icy days at the beginning of January. I did some photo experiments and tried to capture the beauty. I picked a couple of my favourites. I found out that it's a lot harder than it looks to take good ice pictures, at least hard to do it justice. Make sure to click on the first two to see them in a larger format. The ice details are amazing.

good pics !! i really liked the rose picture :)

maybe some suggestions for future pics: the one of the icy bush could maybe be more "impact-ful" if it were cropped to a panoramic-style size.
and the hose? picture, and future pics of icicles/series of icicles, could be more powerful if the focus were on at least 1 icicle.

you've got a good eye for ice ! :) hope to see more while the cold weather is still around (seeing that the groundhog DIDN'T see his shadow today !!!! :D )

I can never take pics like this. My hand is too unsteady and our camera sucks. -jeff (too lazy to log in).
